Way back in September of last year I introduced you to a new Australian duo called Civil Civic. From their bases in London and Barcelona, they send music back and forward on email to create what has become their first EP entitled ‘1′. It’s being released on 5000 on March 8 (okay okay, I confess; 5000 is my label) with help from Artspages, the Oslo-based digital distributor, and this is another track called C27, with all the parts we love about Civil Civic present and correct: the peculiar mix of scuzzy low-fi sounds which are actually very well produced, killer basslines, a drum machine that seems to to pull the track along with it and melodic, stabbed synth lines.
